AEShiper | Ship Web to After Effects & Figma — Browser Extension Privacy Policy

Updated

Purpose and data used

AEShiper helps you capture website artwork for your design and motion workflow. When you choose Capture page or Pick element, it reads the selected rendered DOM, including text, page title, layout, computed visual styles, and image URLs/bytes. Font inspection reads computed typography. Assets reads image, SVG, background and video URLs in the selected page. Screenshots capture visible pixels while scrolling the selected page. This content may include personal or sensitive information displayed on the page you intentionally select.

Where content goes

Captured content is processed on your computer. Ship to AE sends supported artwork to your separately installed AEShiper After Effects companion at 127.0.0.1:7868. Copy to Figma writes an HTML capture envelope or image bytes to your system clipboard; the extension itself does not upload them to Figma. If you paste into Figma or another application, that application handles the pasted content under its own policies. Asset and screenshot exports are saved to downloads you choose. No captured artwork is uploaded to an AEShiper capture server. No advertising, analytics, error-reporting SDK, remote executable code or cloud capture service is included in this browser extension.

Website resource requests

Capturing or exporting images and supported unencrypted video assets requests their original URLs. Original resource hosts receive normal network information and applicable browser-managed request credentials. The extension does not read or export cookies through a cookies API. Website access is used only for the capture/export actions you request.

Video discovery

After you open AEShiper on a tab, its Assets tool can observe video/stream request URLs for that tab. It keeps at most 40 detected URLs per tab in worker memory. Those records are cleared when the dock closes, the tab navigates, or the tab closes; they are not uploaded or stored as a browsing history. Detection does not bypass authentication, DRM, encryption or paywalls.

Storage and retention

Editable captures are temporary in memory; there is no persistent capture history. Full-page screenshot sections are temporarily stored in the extension's local IndexedDB so the preview survives worker suspension. They expire after 30 minutes; running timers or subsequent storage access remove expired data. Closing Chrome can suspend cleanup until the extension next runs. Removing the extension clears its extension storage. The system clipboard and downloaded files remain under your control; use the relevant OS/app controls to clear or delete them.

The AE companion writes unique image source files and AE project items; removing the browser extension does not delete those local project assets.

Choices and security

No page capture runs until you invoke it. You can stop capture from the toolbar; click the extension icon to cancel an in-progress screenshot. Keep the screenshot tab active. Avoid selecting sensitive content unless you intend to import it. The local AE artwork connection binds to the loopback interface. The separately installed companion has its own licensing/update networking, distinct from this extension's local artwork processing.

Limited Use

AEShiper's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide the disclosed website-artwork capture and export workflow. AEShiper does not sell this data, use it for advertising, credit assessment or unrelated profiling, or allow humans to read it through a remote capture service.
